You’ve seen it around the community – sahara mustard is an invasive plant which quickly robs native plants of the ability to get nutrients, thus taking over large areas. It also is a prolific seed producer so spreads quickly and it grows fast in disturbed land. Celebrate Los Osos! has asked for help to get rid of it before it takes over.
Join St Ben’s Earthcare and friends for a couple of hours of weed eradication. We agreed to focus on areas near the greenbelt so we’ll start at the east end of Nipomo Street where it dead ends, close to Andre and Willow. Bring gloves, a hand fork or trowel and a black bag for your booty. Rain cancels.
