The Stations of the Cross date back to the sixteenth century. They were created by Franciscan monks to help people go to Jerusalem in their imaginations and follow the path that Jesus is thought to have taken on the final day of his earthly life. Star Party

It’s the 12th day of Christmas and what better time for a party! We will crown three kings or queens of Epiphany, bring the camels and wise men from the windowsill to the creche, bless the lintels for 2019, take down the Christmas tree and all the lights and light a new fire for the New Year. And then… a star word to go. Bring a dish and or beverage to share and come celebrate the last night of Christmas!

Gaudy Night: A Central Coast Readers Theater Production

An outbreak of anonymous letters, vandalism and threats has broken out at Shrewsbury College, Harriet Vane’s alma mater. Harriet agrees to help try to find the perpetrator but as things get more and more difficult she calls in her old friend, Lord Peter Wimsey. Based on the acclaimed novel by Anglican theologian, Dorothy L. Sayers, this fun play reading lasts about an hour and stars members of the St Benedict’s congregation as well as other friends. Gratitude Dinner

Join us for our annual Gratitude Dinner on October 12 at the church Dinner is provided by the Parish Council, and all members, Abundance Shop volunteers, friends, and associates are welcome. All you need bring is your gratefulness.

Blessing of the Animals

All pets are welcome for a Blessing of the Animals in celebration of the feast of St. Francis. This tradition is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Please look for St. Benedict’s Rev. Caroline Hall at the Blessing of the Animals banner at two locations.
