Please join us for our new Hollister Institute book discussion exploring what truly makes a good life through Robert Benson’s “A Good Life – Benedict’s Guide to Everyday Joy.” Benson offers a warmhearted, humorous guide to enriching our lives with the wisdom of Benedict, a 6th century monk. Each chapter is shaped around a Benedictine principle: prayer, rest, community, and work, and reveals the brilliant and infinitely practical ways that Benedictine spirituality can shape our lives today.
Group discussions are open to everyone. This 6-week study begins Tuesday, September 25 at 3:45 p.m. and will meet at St. Benedict’s Church Tuesdays through October 30. The topics for each week are: Longing, Prayer, Rest, Community, Work and Living. Participants are encouraged to read the book, which is available from Amazon both new and used.
