Los Osos Cares Community Dinner May 7: St. Benedict’s will be providing TAKE OUT dinners for up to 90 people. This past week they fed almost 100 people – the need is there. Each community organization providing food has really stepped up and continues to do so weekly. The plan is as follows:
- We will have a menu planned and will be asking our generous congregation to help with the food.
- Our responsibility is the main meal, no desserts. Food should be delivered by 4PM to the Community Center.
- We will only be allowed 2 people from St. Ben’s to assist in the kitchen.
- Please contact Maureen at 805 441 7262 and she will provide you with the food item we need and how many servings. Thank you in advance for your willingness to be flexible in this new world we are living in now.
Laundry Love, April 29, 2020: We were able to assist 17 people with their laundry this week. Many thank yous and folks telling us they were so grateful we were still providing this service. We spent $230 for washers and dryers. The new system COVID-19 seems to be working for those of us volunteering. We do not go into the building, reducing the number of people in an area, wearing face masks and limited physical contact with appropriate barriers.
Thank you to everyone who is keeping up with tithes and making financial gifts to St. Benedict’s by mail, by credit card or Paypal (on the Home Page or the Support Us page of our website.)
Please stay in touch with your cloister, and don’t hesitate to contact Caro+ at 805-704-5826 caro@stbenslososos.org. She loves to hear from you. In an emergency, texts are best.
Be well, be safe, and stay in touch
